Our Story

It's all about a feeling!

For us Scandinavian Design is all about a feeling: the feeling of being at home. It’s more than a school of design or a specific style and it’s our mission to share that feeling with our friends in Greece. We carefully select what we believe represents the very best of Scandinavian Design – from the masterpieces of Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner to the beautiful new creations of young but already enormously successful Danish brands such as Muuto and HAY. We are also passionate about hand-picking original works from small producers and young designers, in order to curate a mix that makes us feel right at home!

We serve private customers from our Kolonaki retail store, as well as working closely with architects, interior designers and end clients to create perfect solutions for everything from intimate homes to large commercial projects

Made to last

General Care

• Always follow any care instructions included with the specific product.
• Products made from natural materials such as wood and marble will have unique colour/surface variations.
• Always use mild cleaning agents – never use harsh, chemical cleaning products.
• To preserve the colour of the materials, avoid direct sunlight whenever possible.
• Never place products close to heat sources.
• Always protect surfaces against direct heat, humidity and strongly coloured items.
• Unless items are explicitly approved for outdoor use, they are meant for indoor use and should never be used outdoors.

Textiles

Maintain your upholstery by vacuuming it regularly with a soft upholstery attachment. Try to avoid placing fabric in direct sunlight, and use curtains and blinds to protect your furniture when possible. Try to avoid spot cleaning, but if necessary try blotting the spot with a paper towel or clean white cloth. Avoid rubbing as this will create a larger stain. If further care is required, please check the specific cleaning requirements of your fabric to ensure that the appropriate method is used, this will ensure no further damage and the best possible removal of any stain.

Wood

When solid wood furniture is correctly maintained and exposed to daylight, over the years the wood will acquire a beautiful patina. As wood is a living natural product, color variations and knots as well as lines in the finished furniture may occur. Solid wood is a living material that is affected by daylight, temperature and humidity. The ideal relative humidity for solid wood tables is between 30% and 60%. Caring for your wooden furniture depends on the surface treatment. Soaped treated furniture should be regularly soaped and oiled treated furniture should be treated with special wood oil once in a while, whereas lacquered wood furniture only needs cleaning with a damp cloth.

Leather care

• Avoid placing the leather in direct sunlight or extreme heat
• Avoid soaking the leather or any contact with sharp objects
• To absorb any spills, use a clean, dry cloth immediately
• To dust, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush regularly
• NEVER use detergents, ammonia, oils, polish, varnish, etc.

In order to keep furniture leather soft and supple with good sitting comfort, and to prevent it from fading or drying out, it is very important to give leather the correct regular care and cleaning. For this purpose we recommend the leather care kit from Guardian, which you can purchase here.

Guardian

We recommend Danish Guardian maintenance products for a range of materials for your furniture and textiles. See the selection here.
