PINCI Candle Holder

Pinci, which means “pliers” in Italian, is a die-cast candle holder in Zamac, a metal alloy of zinc and aluminium. The candle holder’s sophisticated hinge allows the holder to open and close under its own weight, clamping candles of various sizes and shapes. Pinci’s final design was developed through a series of 3D prints. The prints became more and more technical over time as Chris wanted the grip function to be adjustable for many different types of candle. Pinci’s hinge function looks simple but is produced with a sophisticated casting, and the result blocks the holder from opening or closing too much.
