Brand New Works Brand New Works New Works was founded by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik from the desire to establish a design house where design comes to life with care and intent, and where there is room for creative experiments — a place for new works. While Nikolaj juggles numbers and daily operations as CEO, Knut Bendik is responsible for the particular look and feel as Creative Director. Together with a small, dedicated team, they set out to define a curated collection of elevated, yet accessible objects for living. It is through this objective that they shape the continuously evolving story of New Works.New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. Our work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. We collaborate with an international group of renowned designers and artisans, who display a matching fascination with sculptural forms and honest materials. Panter & Tourron — New Works

In their Tense series for New Works, designers Panter & Tourron explore aspects of material tension, giving life to airy and flowing shapes. The dreamy cloud-like shade of the Tense Wall Lamp softly diffuses the light and creates a sculptural feel that suits a wide range of architectural settings. With a softness like fabric and an expression resembling crisp paper, the texture-rich Tyvek diffuser brings in tactility, while offering strength, class 1 flame retardancy, and 100% recyclability. When the light is on, the crinkled texture is accentuated in a delicate exchange of light and shadow. The Tense Wall Lamp comes with an integrated LED light source and a discrete pin switch by the base.
