Myran turns 20!

This year marks two decades of Myran bringing the best Scandinavian design to Greek homes, hotels, and restaurants. A celebration is of course in order, with the second half of 2024 to be filled with throwbacks, milestones, and sneak peeks into the future of Myran, through events and collaborations with some of our favorite suppliers and designers.

The Party

The celebrations kicked off on Friday 31 May on the rooftop of our Apenanti showroom in Athens. It was a magical night under the Athenian sky, surrounded by the smiles of old and new friends. Special thanks to the lovely people from HAY who kindly provided giveaways, to Kopria for spoiling us with floral extravaganza and Role-Play for the visuals and anniversary pins!

DESIGN EXCLUSIVE: THE DOTS BY MUUTO

Limited Edition in Myran Yellow

The simple wooden coat hanger The Dots was designed by Tveit & Tornoe for Muuto in 2007, and was described by the designers as a “friendly addition to any wall”. It also happens to be Myran’s best-selling product of all time. To celebrate this, we have commissioned a limited Myran × Muuto edition of 300 hangers in our signature yellow. Available from June.

NEW COLLABORATION: ARTEK

After 20 years in business, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Artek — the most iconic of all Finnish brands. Artek was founded by the architect-designer couple Aino and Alvar Aalto in 1935, and has been producing their iconic designs ever since.

LOUNGING WITH NORWEGIANS: 17 Oct 2024

A collaboration between Myran, Muuto, and the designers Anderssen & Voll. The Norwegian design studio is creating a new lounging experience, tailor-made for the Myran Apenanti showroom. Both Muuto and the designers have been walking hand in hand with Myran throughout the years. Considered amongst the most productive and successful designers in Scandinavia, Anderssen & Voll have been pivotal in defining the design trend known as New Nordic.

ANNIVERSARY LAZY SATURDAY: 14 Dec 2024

Celebrating our annual Christmas event, Lazy Saturday, with the same Rød Pølse (red hot dogs), Swedish Glögg (mulled wine) and Finnish Sisu as every year. Some things just don’t need to change… But we might add the odd surprise to the mix!
