Designed by Julien Renault, Layout Armchair 242 offers a flexible and innovative design shaped by a commitment to comfort, functionality, and circularity. Characterised by the opening in the backrest, this defining feature provides greater comfort while giving its appearance a sense of lightness and transparency. A plywood seat brings natural warmth, while the five-legged castor base with height-adjustable gas lift adds functionality and flexibility, with all components designed for disassembly to extend the lifespan and enable refurbishment for long-term use. The shell is crafted from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic and offered in a wide range of colours, with the seat offered in several finishes, and the aluminium base available in polished or powder-coated options, making Layout a versatile and durable seating ideal for most corporate settings and domestic environments.
